Update on Prototype
While I sent out a tweet, messages, and a Facebook post yesterday, I’d like to explain more about the prototype. Basically we’re having problems with several key things:
AI clipping through walls or not finding player:
Gun not firing
Player unable to pick up items
Player not crouching when they should.
Unfortunately, because of problems with the AI, we’ve been unable to focus on several broken gameplay aspects, Right now we’re clearing up the gameplay before going back to the AI, however, it might not be ready by Monday as we initially hoped. We’re considering releasing the prototype at the time anyway so people can at least start to get a feel for the game. We’ll be continually updating you via twitter and Facebook with this blog about how things are progressing. Hopefully next week we’ll be able to talk about how people received the prototype.
