In or Out

Hey Bloggers! We released our prototype yesterday! I really hope you all got a chance to play it, but just in case you didn’t, or if you did but are looking for some more info, here is the run down on what made the cut, and what got cut off!

Our prototype is the first release we have done of this game. It is very basic, however, we wanted to show you all what we were working on, and give you a chance for input! We decided to focus a lot on getting the core elements in there, and leaving the fancy stuff for later versions. You can see right from the start that we have a difficulty setting in our game. This trait is going to stay with our game. It allows for all players of all levels to be able to enjoy the game. Whether you want to take it easy and learn the mechanics, or you want to really challenge yourself on destroyed, you can play!

We also included one of the most important aspects to Beyond Equilibrium, and for those who played, I think you understand what we’re talking about. Limited resources is what is going to make our game stand out from the rest, and really make you the player play strategically. The flashlight, the gun, the taser, and some new things we’re going to add, are all very limited in their uses. You have to be quick and stealthy to survive our horror mazes!

But don’t worry bloggers. There are, as were in the demo, randomized pick ups for resources. You just never know when you’re going to find them! Plus, you got a preview of our enemies. They are very basic at this point, but just imagine how scary they’re going to be when they’re finished!

One of the biggest problems we had in the game was the sound. You could never tell when an enemy was close or far away! This is something we are working on right now, and when you see our product again, sounds will change as you get closer to them, and farther away.

But do you know what the best part is? This is only the beginning! Here is the starting line up of what is about to come:

In our main game, there is going to be a cover based stealth system and a knife for when you run out of ammo! (And doesn’t that make you feel better about the limited resources?) Plus, there are going to be all kinds of animations! There is obviously more to come than that, but we’ll talk about that later.

If you got a chance to play our prototype, congratulations! You are already working diligently to give us feedback, and making your mark on the gaming industry. If not, what are you waiting for! Email us now at nstavish.2014@gmail.com and don’t miss your chance to be part of this experience!

If you really liked the prototype, and you want to be even more involved, we are looking for some more artists to round out our team! We need a level designer and a texture artist. No experience required! If you can show us what you can do, and you can work on a time schedule, then we have a place for you! Email your resume and portfolio to nstavish.2014@gmail.com

That’s all for this week bloggers. Tune in next week to hear what people said about our prototype, and probably hear your own review!

Signing off, Keri Irace PR Manager.
