Serious Business (Tier 3)

Hello bloggers, and welcome back! This week, we will finish our series on the three AI tiers of interaction. As I am sure you well remember, the AI start out in Tier 1: The Lazy Tier. During this phase, they are merely wandering about, munching on corpses, and just doing general enemy leisurely activities. In Tier 2, the enemies are on alert! They have detected your presence, and they are searching you out. It is time for all of you to find out what happens when the enemy AI finds you.
It is serious business now. The enemy has spotted you! No more conserving your resources and slipping away. You have been engaged in combat! The fight is on! There is only one way that this can end. You or the enemy will have to die. ‘Cause there’s only room for one of you in this town… spaceship.
Now would be a good time to keep note of the different kinds of attacks that can happen. Because it is so crucial to your survival in this game that you conserve resources, it is best to fight enemies in the most efficient way possible. Some enemies will attack you with their bare hands. Others will use knives our wrenches. And the scariest of them all are the enemies that will use firearms.
Obviously for enemies that have no weapon, it is best to attack them at their level. Fighting back with your fists should win you this match, as long as you are fast enough and skilled enough to defeat them. As far as enemies with knives or wrenches, I would definitely suggest pulling out the handy dandy heavy flashlight to take a swing. Or find a sharp weapon of your own and stab them before they can stab you.
But when it comes to the enemies with guns, you better have a fast trigger finger. Shoot to kill, and do it before they do. Plus, you better duck out of the way of any bullets they may send off. It is going to be so important that you only have to shoot them once. Limited ammo means that if you come up against an enemy with a gun, and you have no ammo, game over.
That’s the reality of this game. It’s eat or be eaten. So you better get good at hiding. And you better get good at running. But most of all. You better shoot before you fall.
