Beyond Equilibrium Updates

Happy blog day! Last week was a bit of a break from the norm as our creative director, Noah Stavish, posted a blog that he personally wrote about another project that he is helping out with: a fan-made Halo game.

This week we’ll be covering the few things that our team members have been up to in preparation for our first build of Beyond Equilibrium, which, if all goes well, should be put together and compiled tomorrow, December 2nd, with all of the components we are planning on having in this initial build.

Our texture artist Juan has been busy getting the level looking nice and polished. The level now has textured walls, floors, and a few little decals in some of the rooms.

There’s even a station where you can view a nice grassy plain with a tree on it to soothe your mind while you’re traveling through space!

Our concept artist Rhi has been busy honing the look the Spera, the main character. There have been quite a few concept art pieces of Spera over the past few weeks, and this is the latest one.

Rhi has also improved upon the look of the first class female gassers. I’m getting creeped out just by looking at it:

Our 3D modeler and animator also managed to put together some animations for the various parts of the level. They aren’t the final animations, just placeholders until they can get some more finalized ones made.

This build that we are trying to finish up is for pitching to publishers, to showcase Beyond Equilibrium’s core features, a little bit of game play, and how enemies will work. We are hoping to get funding at some point for this project so that the diligent team members have something to look forward to for all of their hard work.

That’s all for this blog update. Please tune in next week for our progress on what we’re doing and how the game is shaping up!
